Hi Jacx, it shouldn't be to difficult to do as long as you use the right adhesive - this article gives a whole bunch of information that will help you buy the right one - https://www.hunker.com/12589373/what-types-of-glue-will-stick-metal-to-plastic
Rather use metal clips for the fixing the tray to the shelf?
Unfortunately there isn't any way of using clips. It is on the side of the fridge at work..limited space issues. The plastc tray is for the drink lids. I think the two part epoxy will work. Got to check out brands for adhesion. Thanks
Could you use Command strips? If you could it wouldn't damage the surface of the stainless steel refrigerator.
Why not glue magnets to the tray so that the tray will stay on your refrigerator and not permantly damage the surface of your refrigerator.
Cindy, that might work! Will look into it. Command strips might be an option if the weight will hold. They are only designed to hold light weight stuff, got to weight it. Will post if i can get resolution. I really appreciate how everyone has had such great ideas! Hope I can return the favor in the future.
You can use Command adhesive strips and or not the hooks. They are using them to attach plexiglass to cashier and pharmacy areas here. If you use hooks you can then find a wire holder or open top shelf magazine holder to place plastic in.

You can use tension curtain/shower rods if you have 2 opposing walls maybe above fridge. You can hang a pocket plastic large bag in which to drop them.
I use the rods to hang sandals from shower hooks up high where my A/C unit is.
More ideas if you need them.
