How do I keep a bedskirt where it belongs?
It's dainty. It's lacy and oh so pretty, but! It's not elastic. For now it's safety pinned to the mattress. Lots and lots of teeny tiny safety pins. Somewhere between the time I pinned it to present time, I got old. It needs cleaning but I can no longer do the acrobatics to remove all those pins and repin it after wards. I will presume someone will mention velcro. I don't know the ins and outs of using velcro..

To make it easier to remove AND to hold in place: First, sew a 1", already hemmed piece of plain material (a piece of an old sheet is perfect, just cut it to the proper width and hem both long sides, then sew the strips together to make one extra long piece), now, sew this piece all around the top of the bed skirt. Get some of the "iron board suspenders (these are short, elastic straps with a holder on each end), place one diagonally across each corner of the mattress to hold the bed skirt in place on the corners, then place 3 or more across the width of the mattress to hold the sides of the bed skirt in place. When you need to remove the bed skirt, simply open the hooks and move the skirt. Hope this helps.
Hi Barbara! I have had that problem many times. It is very frustrating and to help you I am giving you some information links for you to look at. Good luck!

Hello Barbara
I bought an inexpensive tag gun with small 1/2” tagging tabs awhile ago. Its easy inexpensive and easily removed if needed, safer than pins I would guess. Its held my bedskirt secured to the box spring piping since 2015. Before this— I used the swirly push pins. Please see links below.
Not a fan of velcro for this particular purpose. Velcro seems to get clogged up with any laundry efforts.
Ebay might be cheaper than Amazon -not sure.
