Steps. Wipe away excess glue with a paper towel. Before attempting to treat the glue, remove as much of it as you can by hand. Dampen another paper towel in acetone. Acetone is an ingredient in most nail polish remover. Use the paper towel to scrub the glue. Scrape the remaining glue away with a putty knife.
Hi Jan. I'm Cindy. Cured Gorilla glue can be removed with a chisel, scraper, or sandpaper. If all of the glue does not come off after this attempt, dip a cotton swab into acetone-based nail polish remover. Scrub the glue vigorously with an old toothbrush until the glue flakes off. Good luck.
