Back in the 80's there was a specialty product that was like automotive wax in that you apply it, let it haze over, then buff it off with a soft cloth. We are in our second house with acrylic tubs and enclosures and I just use automotive paste wax BUT don't wax the floor of the tub or shower. One change we did make years ago was to stop using bar soap because I feel it hardens on tbe walls when it dries. We also squeegy the walls after each shower.

If the tub has a lot of soap scum build up spray it with easy off oven cleaner. Use the original works better. Let it sit overnight then wipe it off with a damp cloth the next day. Then use car wax to shine it up

1/2 blue Dawn dishwashing liquid, 1/2 white vinegar( warmed), spray it on. After 10/15 minutes, spray again, then rinse off with a wet sponge/shower.
