How do you paint over vinyl flooring?
I want to paint a vinyl floor in my basement. I do not have the money to replace it. I have heard that vinyl cannot be painted over, but if anyone has any ideas, I would appreciate it. Thank you.

they make vinyl paint, but if you have a no wax floor ,there will be wax built into the floor that you can never get out. Try not to paint over vinyl waxed floor. Like trying to paint ice.

If you use a good primer (think BIN shellac) you should be able to paint your floor with porch and floor paint very well. I used it with a stencil and it has held up great! Here's my post on it: https://rootsandwingsfurniture.com/blog/paintedfloor/
