If you project is real stained glass, nothing is needed to preserve it.
Even faux stain glass project doesn't need a sealer.
Hi. If you're concerned about a film or painted stained glass, put another piece of clear glass on top. If the stained glass is in a frame and you can't take it out, have your glass cut to the inside of the frame and use glass glue to attach it to the inside of the frame. Good luck.
I do not think it needs a sealer but if you want one I would use some kind of spray sealer and just do a light coat.
