How do you cover wall plugs?
We just redid our kitchen backsplash in dark wood but our wall outlets are white. Is it safe to paint them, if so with what kind of paint.

Have you checked to see if the stores have dark ones? I have seen dark brown. Also I believe they make covers that can be painted and/or material placed over them. As far as what paint to use, I am sure a paint department can help you with that.
Use regular latex paint. Use a dry brush technique. Dip the brush in the paint. Brush off the paint on some newspaper till there is barely any on it. Then just lightly go over the outlets. The cost of outlets being so cheap why not just replace them.
You can use almost any paint medium as the covers are plastic. I have used wall paper, or even a photo, and modpodge, spray paint, craft paint then spray with a clear coat. For easy cleaning.
I’ve used regular latex with no problem.
Try the 4" by 15. Strips of contact paper. I found mine at Dollar Ramma for 3.50 for 10. Works well for my sink's very narrow backsplash. Makes washing the backsplash easier.
