Hi Jackie,
We recently used Valspar's Cabinet Enamel for a DIY project in our kitchen. This product is awesome, it allows you to paint over finished cabinets or furniture without lots of sanding and/or stripping. I would highly recommend using this product to paint your cabinets.

Hello Jackie! If you are not sure what your cabinets are made from it would be best to take off a door and bring it with you to a local paint store to get the right kind of paint and primer. If they are a wood surface finished with a poly you should have no problem picking up paint.
Mobile home cabinets are often finished with a melamine “foil” and yes, I would take a drawer or door to a pro paint store, because if that’s the material, then it’s thin and it’s a plastic.
