Woodbridge Environmental Tiptophouse.com on Aug 05, 2014Could be the incorrect capacitor? Incorrectly wired new cap? Loose wire? faulty motor? Does it spin freely when power is off? If cap is proper, sounds as though the fan motor is faulty. Age?Helpful Reply

Woodbridge Environmental Tiptophouse.com on Aug 05, 2014ideally the cap should be exactly what the motor requires. But that slight difference in voltage should not be an issue. Sounds as though the motor is faulty. If you can see what size cap is required for the motor It should be written on its side most likely right under the mount where you cannot see it. But that is the cheapest fix first. If the cap is correctly sized you may need to get new motor. Normally when a motor is replaced so is the cap. Was that done if you remember?Helpful Reply

Woodbridge Environmental Tiptophouse.com on Aug 05, 2014We know its not the power supply as you say it runs when you give it a shove. So its either the cap, first thing to determine if its right with the motor then only thing left is the motor. :(Helpful Reply
