    2 cups water

    2 Tbsp white vinegar

A few drops of lemon juice

    toothpick

Put all ingredients in a microwaveable bowl and boil.

Remove bowl when it's cool enough to transfer with mitts.

    Wipe down if needed.

The bowl of water with a good amnt of lemon juice, heated for at least 10 minutes did the trick.

No more odor in the microwave.😊

Thank you all for your help and advice.

Well.....the burnt odor returned quickly after trying the water and lemon juice solution.

So yesterday, I tried the water, 2 T white vinegar, a few drops of lemon juice and a toothpick in a bowl suggestion - let it boil in the microwave for about 10 minutes. So far no discernible burnt odor. Hoping it’s the permanent fix to my problem.

I haven't tried any of these, but there are some various videos on YouTube explaining how to remove odors. https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=how+to+remove+burnt+smell+from+microwave Usually when I have something stinky/smelly in my microwave I leave the door open and try to let it air out. Also giving it a really good cleaning job! You can also check to see if your microwave has a filter and change it.

I placed a small bowl of white vinegar in microwave for about two minutes. Problem solved

Thanks Daria. I will try your suggestion.

The previously recommended solution of heated water and lemon juice, in the microwave, only removed the odor temporarily.
