Hello Loretta, Once a week I clean my toilet bowl with this homemade vinegar house cleaner that I made and a scrubber. It has really helped to keep my toilet bowl mold free and smelling nicely. Good luck!
A quick splash of ammonia will inhibit the growth of mold. Start with a clean bowl, and then regularly add the ammonia. It is better than bleach. Make sure it is clean under the rim and that the tiny holes are not clogged with mold. You might want to add some ammonia to the water tank at the back of the toilet. This works well for a toilet that is not used often. No nasty surprises when you go to use it.
have you tried cleaning vinegar? mold can spread by spores, the vinegar should kill the spores I have uses equal parts vinegar and water mixed in a spray bottle
Are you POSITIVE it is mold? Seems odd in the toilet.
It very well could be mold. I used to have the same problem in an apt. I used to live in. Regular cleaning helps keep the mold at bay.
Bleach.
