How can I keep my planter and heavy pots from damaging my deck?
I have a lot of plants on my outdoor, wood, deck and I worry that underneath the pots the deck is starting to rot. I have many of them sitting on some kind of platform, something to keep them from sitting directly on the deck, but for the most part they don't look all that nice and I fear the deck is rotting under the supports. Some that look nice were expensive. Thanks for your help

You can buy a bag of flat glass pieces at any name brand store and glue as many as you need under your flower pot or tray under the flower pot and that will lift it enough to get it off the deck.
I have small wood plant stands with rollers. Sit off the deck about 2 inches and can roll a around if you want. Bought at a garden shop. My husband made me 2 more. With your pot sitting in a saucer, no water from the plant will reach your deck floor.
You can purchase plastic plant feet that elevate the pots off the deck. Place multiple feet under each pot, but be aware that you will need to realign the feet if you move the pot.
For large planters I like to use these plant caddy's: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NKsAu2xUy3U
I save plastic caps from bottles of the protein drink we buy. I place the caps under pots that don't need to be moved often. They elevate the pots quite nicely and don't cost a thing.
