I have a blue ring from an in bowl hanging cleaner. Over the counter cleaners don't take out the ring. I have good well water.
pumis stone-compressed volcanic ash. wet the stone then scrub the ring.

Pumice stone is the best. I have the same problem and use one. You can buy them at Walmart especially made for cleaning toilets.
