How to sound proof a patio?
We have a porch exposed to a lot of traffic noise. What kind of wall/curtain can I add to lessen the noise?

I feel your pain. I feel like this would be hard though. We have some thermal curtains to block the sun in our backyard, but I don't know if they do anything to help with the noise. We do have a little speaker out there that we turn music on, though. Sometimes I just do nature sounds or running water. It helps drown out other noise for sure. Especially since we have a lot of construction in our neighborhood

How we did this was to have thermal paneled sliding patio doors put in (not cheap) and later put up thermal lined drapes to block the sun and noise. This works well.
The drapes came from K Mart.

The more folds in the drapery, the better the sound absorption. Make sure the draperies are of a sufficient weight, too, and suited for outdoor exposure to water and sun.
