Yes! If there is not coating on the wood you can either paint it right on the wood or stain it. I love Miss Mustard Seed Milk Paint for staining wood. It colours the wood but allows you to see some of the wood grain through the "stain". You can find all fo the directions on how to do it on her website. Have fun!
