How to fix discoloration under objects on polyurethaned pine walls?
We have tongue and groove pine on our walls. We are going to move and when taking down objects that were hanging on the walls, they look terrible as there is the imprint from the object where the wall didn't amber. I tried lightly sanding and trying to match a stain but it's not working. Please help!

Use a gel stain and oil based polyurethane. Oil based has a yellow cast to it.
Gel stain soaks into the wood and also stays on the surface. Try to get something close to the color you have. Oil base poly will give a yellow tinge. Water based does not.
thank you very much William, I appreciate all your help, I will try with the gel stain!
