Hi Rebecca,
Here's something for you on a budget:

I made my own buffalo checked valances for my kitchen/dining room windows. Lean an old ladder agains the wall in your bathroom for your towels. Hobby Lobby has LOTS of cute farmhouse things you can incorporate into your decor without destroying walls or cabinets. Usually at a reasonable price especially if on sale. I also hunt in local thrift stores for items I can use to decorate in a farmhouse theme.
Accent pieces can transform the space.
If you want to hang items on the wall, use command hooks.
Check out decor steals, kirklands, hobby lobby, and such for items.
Use "mason" jars as holders for items.
