Can I dry pinecones in a microwave?
I have a bunch that I've soaked in soapy, bleachy water to clean them and kill any insects before bringing them into the house. They are drying outside but I wondered if it could be hastened in the microwave or possibly oven? TIA

Dry them in the oven. Heat oven to 200 degrees and put pine cones on a foil lined cookie sheet. Put them in the oven and check on them as they bake, so they don't burn. The pinecones will "open up" a bit and the sap will seep out and dry up. Good luck!
I've never tried drying them in a microwave but have in an oven without problems
I have always used a low temperature in the oven.
A 200 degree oven works great!
