Do dryers need a specialty lightbulb, or can I use a nightlight bulb?

Or do dryers need a specialty bulb (because of the heat and vibration)? The old bulb was a 10w 120 volt bulb.

    Hi Deb,

Your dryer does need a bulb made for dryers. Others might cause a fire. Wishing you the best.

They need a vibration resistant bulb. Check with appliance store. They might be expensive, but should last for years. They might even have LED replacement bulb that will last longer than the dryer's life.
