This is an easy way to clean the gunk and baked on grease from an oven. No need to turn the oven on at all. JUst place a dish of ammonia in the oven, close the door and let it set there overnight or for 8-10 hours. Open the oven door carefully and be sure NOT TO INHALE the fumes. Clean the oven with hot soapy water and perhaps a scrubby if needed. The ammonia works to loosen the grease, etc. This same ide works well on bbq grates....just place the grates in a heavy duty plastic trash bag and add a cup of ammonia. Seal the bag tightly and allow to lay on the ground overnight or for several hours. Remove the grates and rinse and scrub to get them back to being grease free. You should likely use rubber gloves while retrieving the grates from the plastic trash bag. Works well every time!
Thank you very, very much.
