Hi Teresa. I'm Cindy. Use a couple large decorations in front of your fireplace, A bunch of little things just get lost. Perhaps a large angel, a reindeer, or a large Santa. I also like the idea of the basket of pine cones. Happy holidays Teresa.
I use command hooks to hang garland. I also put out nutcrackers.
