Hi Mildred, cleaning depends on what type of furniture you're cleaning. If it is upholstered furniture, it's best to vacuum using an upholstery attachment. If wood unpainted pieces you might try a dam cloth with a small amount of lemon oil added to dust with regularly. For painted pieces just a damp cloth with a very small amount of vinegar would work well.
I like OrangeGlo for wood furniture but you can just wipe with a damp microfiber cloth as well.

If you are cleaning wood furniture try Murphy's Oil soap. (It is not oil just the name is). You can rent a steamer or rug cleaner with an upholstery attachment. Most rug cleaners work pretty well on fabric.

Vacuum your couch so you're not rubbing in dirt or debris while cleaning. In the bucket, mix about 2 cups of distilled water with 1 tablespoon of dishwashing liquid and 1 tablespoon of vinegar. Dampen a microfiber cloth with your cleaning solution. Gently blot any stained areas with the cloth.
