How do you paint dried hydrangeas?

How do you paint dried hydrangeas, a few months ago I read where a DIYER painted her dried hydrangeas. Was in process of downsizing and I lost the instruction. What type of paint to use etc. can anyone help here?

You could actually try a light coat of spray paint Martha. You would not want a really heavy coat. Just enough to give them some color. Here's one person who used spray paint on her hydrangeas.
