If it is iron with a porcelain coating, there are companies that can re-coat the porcelain. If it is something else then I recommend replacing it. There are some paints that will work, but with the abuse that a kitchen sink gets, I would not use them. A great option is to check out your local building supply salvage yard. You can find new and near new sinks for pennies on the dollar.
Hi Linda!
Here is an article about painting a kitchen sink!

I have also read about using boat paint on kitchen sinks (because it is water proof) that might be worth checking into also!
Hi there, Linda! I'm not sure what kind of sink you have, but my white sink was a mess and here's what I did to restore it. It came out beautiful and still looks amazing. https://www.exquisitelyunremarkable.com/2018/06/best-way-to-clean-a-white-porcelain-sink.html
Hi Linda, hope this information helps you paint your kitchen sink. Good luck with your project. Repainting can breathe new life into an old enamel sink.

How to Repaint an Enamel Kitchen Sink | Hunker
You best bet would be to replace it. That sink gets so much wear and tear that paint won't last long.
However, if you have an enamel sink, you could use this: https://amzn.to/2U7CDYS
I've used it on a bathtub in the past and it works well!
They make refinishing "paint" for sinks but with the wear and tear that a kitchen sink gets I would just get a new one. I installed one last year, stainless steel HUGE double bowl sink with new faucet with sprayer for under $250. from Home Depot. If you can't install it go to Local Handyman for plumbing and find one in your area.
