trees for privacy
does anyone know of a good tree to plant (in between 2 driveways)
that are fast growing, unique and could create a evergreen fence?
we are in raleigh, nc zone 7 (3-4 hrs. morning sun)
thank you!

Douglas Hunt on Jul 13, 2012I can give you unique evergreens for shade, Amy, but I'm not sure I can manage more than moderately fast growing. Check out: Chamaecyparis obtusa: there are some wonderful cultivars with gold variegations Chamaecyparis nootkatensis: this is a very upright tree, but might get too big depending on how much space you have between driveways Sciadopitys verticillata : this is pretty slow growing, but a fantastic conifer, and there are cultivars that would not get to be more than 10 feet highHelpful Reply
