Jeanette S on Aug 23, 2012Whatever you post, you will want to put it at eye level so it can be seen "before" the pruning starts. I would suggest a decorative post...maybe a shepherd's hook (they come in all sorts of heights and designs now) to which you hang a small sign on a chain with eye hooks that states, "DO NOT PURNE...Homeowner prunes this yard". In order not to cause a problem with the HOA, keep it attractive and smiple (med-dark green paint with yellow/gold writing, not something with bright flashy flowers or cutesy!Helpful Reply

Linda W on Aug 29, 2012Thanks for both responses. Jeanetta, I agree with the eye level concept. Had not thought of the shepherd hook. As a board member of the HOA, I was concerned about making this something attractive, not just some piece of wood stuck into the ground. My goal at this point to to try to locate a source of scrap aluminum that I can cut into a shape or find a source that sells small aluminum or metal pieces. I also came across this link on Pinterest (buffalo-niagaragardening.com). It was an easy project, but not quite what I was looking for. Thanks again!Helpful Reply
