Is the Sprig of Ivy flat paint?
-
Woodbridge Environmental Tiptophouse.com on Oct 12, 2012Sent you a message, but a bit about flat or satin paints. While flat, satin, semi-gloss and gloss all have different looks with the same color. You need to choose a finish that not only will stand up to the riggers of daily use that your home sends its way, but you need to have the correct wall or trim condition to accept that paint finish type or it can look really bad. The more shiny you get, the more important it is to have perfection on the surface the paint is being applied to. So if your walls are in fair to poor shape, The flatter the finish should be. Satin sheen finish is OK for some rough wall surfaces, but it will show up more then flat finish will. So be sure that the lighting and walls are in pretty good shape and that can help you decide if you want to go flat or satin on the wall. I am sure others will chime in on this as well, but from what I have learned these are just a few reasons for choosing the correct finish on the wall surface.Helpful Reply
