3po3 on Nov 19, 2012Thanks. Hope it helps you. You can't go wrong with Dremel bits and tools, so I figured you can't go wrong with Dremel's advice, either.Helpful Reply

Hamtil Construction LLC on Nov 24, 2012If you have a loose dowel rod, mortise joint, or other connection, maybe some wood glue and a trim screw or nail will help remedy it. Try to isolate the location of the creak. At my house, it is the floor under the rocker... not the actual chair! :)Helpful Reply

Kelly on Jul 01, 2015I know it sounds crazy, but my mother-in-law would take her rocker outside every spring, spray it really good with a water hose and leave it in the sun until it dried. This tightened up all the joints. No more creaking.Helpful Reply

Carol on Dec 13, 2015Loud creaks can be annoying, yet the soft creak of a gently rocking chair can be very soothing, and help to ease a baby into sleep.Helpful Reply
