Shari on Feb 03, 2015When selecting a paint color for a bedroom, the color(s) in the bedding (and curtains, if you have them) should dictate the paint color more than the wood tone of the furniture. If the bedding is neutral like white, ecru, beige, or a pale shade of gray, then the wood tone of the furniture can figure more prominently into your decision. If you are keeping your current bedding, post a good sized picture of it so we can see the color(s) and give you appropriate suggestions. If you plan to get a new quilt/comforter/duvet etc., purchase it first before deciding on paint. If you use your bedding as a guide, there should be no dilemma.Helpful Reply

Pgl on Feb 04, 2015Don't worry about what is in.......go with what you like.....personally I find gray shades or gray tinted shades to be depressing. The wood on the dresser looks gorgeous play off it think fall or early spring garden.Helpful Reply

Marion Nesbitt on Feb 05, 2015Looks like red mahogany?? Nice. Just about anything would look good with the exception of orangy-reds and yellowy-oranges. For a bedroom, you have lots of options. Personally, would not go with grey with this furniture.Helpful Reply

Sharon Worsham on Feb 05, 2015What about aqua, or if the room is large, dusty turquoise. For accent use cream, tan, brown, or even golden yellow is pretty. Put swatches of these colors together, and see how it looks with your furniture.Helpful Reply

Pat Ruge on Jul 03, 2016I'm not sure I would want anyone to choose a color for me for a whole room. What I suggest is that you look in you closet. What is the color you choose most often? If everything is white, black or beige, then what color do you chose to accent. Sometimes it is wise to start with a basic color and use accent color for the curtains, bedding, pillows. That way you can switch out the accent colors when you get tired of it.Helpful Reply
