Would make an excellent planter bed, paint desired color and fill with flowing vines such as vinca and various flowering perrinials or herbs. I have also seen them made into outdoor seating by cutting out the front and attaching legs which would require some finesse with a cutting torch and probably some welding skills so I would have to go with the planter bed.

Another garden idea would be place near kitchen door, make a treated wood surround, or stone or brick or whatever is economic and practical/pretty, fill with layer of small rocks for for drainage then right soil for whatever herbs you would use in your kitchen. No mint though - it is too invasive so always keep that in a separate pot.

I would make it into a water garden. Patch the leak with Aquarium Sealer (avail. at Home Depot). Completely surround it with blocks commonly used for walls. No fish unless you are interested in putting in a filtering system, though.

I see a lot of old tubs used as planters. It's a good use of something that might end up in the landfill. But honestly sometimes I think seeing a tub in the garden just sorta looks like a tub in the garden...no matter how many pretty plants are planted in it. LOL! Still with that being said, if you want to repurpose it, if you love the look, go for it! To each his own :-) (My mom used their old tub for a planter. They live on a ranch and it's kinda quirky and kinda cute.)
