How to finish off the wall part of my waterfall

Janet on Jun 27, 2015I would use bigger rocks like you have on top and build up the sides. You really want notice the black when you have water coming down. Just push it back and set a couple of nice rocks inside.Helpful Reply

Dawn Dawson on Jun 28, 2015Agree larger rocks, if you don't have a stream near you, landscape places that sell soil by the truckload usually sell rock. Ours looks like this and they have multiple piles of all kind of rocks. Just bring like a 5 gallon bucket or something.Helpful Reply

Lee on Jun 28, 2015How about a straight down waterfall, using a sheet of metal or stone (copper etc or scraped broken granite or marble from a installer ) for the back and have it puddle at the bottom and throw in a goldfish. Means more planning and digging and cost etc. Please post your finished project. If pond is deep enough fish will survive cold but maybe not birds and 'possums etc.Helpful Reply

Ltt834476 on Jun 28, 2015Use larger and medium size boulders with flat stone pieces to make different levels of your water fall feature. And then just the flats stone pieces all around the bottom/ edges. Ours came out beautiful. We even added a 6-7 foot lighthouse in the back ground and pretty green tropical plants.Helpful Reply

Al on Jul 01, 2015For the wall part for each row, alternate using a full block. For the top, use a flat stone of the same material or flagstone.Helpful Reply
