Convert porch swing to a bench

I have a porch swing like the photo below, but add 15 years plus a lot of weathering. I plan to replace the slats, but would love to convert it to a bench. Anyone have an idea how to do that or what it would look like? Share your vision of how you would do it, even if it is a pencil scrawl on a napkin!

You would have to add supporting lumber under the front and back which could be painted or stained to match the top. You can then purchase legs and mount them to that lumber. The front legs will have to be taller than the back ones. You will want to calculate the height and how much slant to the back you want.

I have a swing similar to yours, but mine is wicker. I would just purchase a bench, as benchs are a dime a dozen, but do not often see swings. I get so many compliments on mine & it is so comfy. Just love it.

I would get some lumber. 2 x 4's would work. Build a low frame say about 12 inches high x 12 inches wide or whatever size your swing is. (The depth of the seat) take 2 pieces of 2x6 lumber and put up under the seat and make it exactly the same shape of the seat underneath. Attach those to the 2 x 4 frame up under the seat so the seat rests on them but attached to the seat and frame. Very hard to explain this but can visualize it in my head.
