I have used furring strips from the lumber yard and just cut to length. If you are using box springs you can use maybe a half-dozen for less than $10. More would be required for a platform bed that uses only a mattress.You can get a full set with additional pieces to link them all together from Amazon for about $26 or walmart.com for $34.
