I feel like a dishwasher filter should be cleaned out once in a while, but I have no clue where to start. Any ideas?

Hi Nancy. I did a bit of reading on this so that I could answer your question properly, but also because I would like to know how to clean mine. This is what I learned: Begin by removing the bottom rack and set it aside. The filter is located at the bottom of the dishwasher tub. Rotate the filter knob to the left up to remove. Wash the filter with warm soapy water and a scrub brush. Remove the filter from the screen and clean the pieces individually. Dry the filter and place it back in the dishwasher. Good luck Nancy.

Hi Nancy, hope this helps you out, you can use vinegar if the parts are covered in lime scale or calcium buildup
