How can I remove calcium buildup from a blender, w/o using chemicals?




The calcium build up is from the hard water we have here in Chicago. A scuff pad works but scratches the surface.

White distilled vinegar will help descale (you will have to pour it on straight and soak it for a couple of hours) or you can buy a descaling agent like those they make for coffee makers.

Another vote for plain white vinegar, it will remove the mineral deposits, just let it soak, and rinse when done.
If it is glass I would use vinegar and a piece of stainless steel scrubby.
