How do I clean the coils on my electric stove top?

Cooked on electric stove's before other than the surface coils. The coils are leaving burnt marks on the bottom of my pans. Plus I don't know how to clean them? There's black flakes just falling into the silver liner pans,on burners I'm not even using. What's the best cleaner please help

Hi Angel. You could try a baking soda paste. .May take a little scrubbing. .you could also try SOS pads. .they will work on your pans. . Good luck. .
Hi Angel. Try using bar keepers friend. It gets the burnt stuff off of mine. You can also buy covers that go over the coils, so it won't happen again. Good Luck!
