what I do for my toaster oven in the camper is I line the bottom and cover the tray with alumium foil. When it get dirty just take it off and replace with new pieces.

if it's the grease that bakes on you could use baking soda or salt and vinegar or peroxide. both the baking soda and salt are gritty and vinegar and peroxide tend to lift sticky messes over a short period of time. Good luck!

There is no easy way to clean a toaster oven.

    Unplug it!

Take the racks and trays out, put them in a sink of soapy water or in the dishwasher.

Take the crumb tray out and throw it in there, too.

Hold the TO over your counter or sink. Hold the door open (or tape it). Shake it! Turn it around, shake it some more! Do it again!

Now you have all the loose stuff off. Wipe everything you can reach with a damp cloth or sponge. Be careful around the hearing elements - those long rods that get hot.

You might be able to remove the front glass easily - so times there are little tabs you can gently bend back to remove the glass. Use a damp cloth dipped in baking soda to scrub off the worst stuff. Just examine how the glass is held in - there might be an easy way!

Depending on the value of the TO (I had a fire in one that I’d gotten free) you might want to look for a new one!

Unplug the toaster oven, remove the shelfs than take your vacuum hose & get up all the crumbs. Please the ones you can"t get to use a tooth brush to get them out of the crevices.
