Cooked-on grime can be removed (any type surface). First try a mixture of hot water and a good liquid dish detergent: wipe on generously and let it sit a while. If still some there, a paste of baking soda and salt with a little water scrubs without scratching. If still some there, a single sided razor blade (a new one with no nicks) and careful scraping - you must keep the area wet that you are working on and be very careful if on enamel that you don’t nick the paint.
If the interior is porcelain, use a thick baking soda and hot water paste. Leave overnight, then scrub with a wet hot cloth. Wipe again to remove residue. If you need to scrape, wrap the edge of a hard plastic spatula in a soft cloth and push against the build up.
If your top is brushed aluminum, clean regularly with baking soda and water. Use Bar Keeper's Friend on burned on foods.
I use a paste of baking soda and water. Baking soda creates a chemical bond with the grease. I rinse with vinegar to get rid of the grit from the baking soda.
