pour plain coke inside
Amazon sells rust remover. Don't know how it well it works, but worth a try.
If its a lot of rust, I pour 1/s bottle of CLR and let it sit in there, like before you go to bed. Then in morning flush and scrub with Bar Keeper's Friend. If there is a lot of rust in the water tank, I pour a bottle of vinegar in overnight. I get the CLR and vinegar at the Dollar Tree.
I heard coke works.
They sell a rust remover in most hardware stores and some grocery stores as well. I think the brand I buy is by Whink, it works great, just be careful if you have brass fixtures, it removes the color and it then looks like chrome. It's pretty safe to use on most surfaces, read the label or go online for more information on uses.
Hi Lizzy, put 3-4 Efferdent for cleaning false teeth in the bowl and leave overnight. Depending on how bad it is, it might take a few times. Scrub in the morning and elbow grease. Hope this helps.
