HAve you tried laying paper towels saturated in straight bleach over the spots? Leave it on for a long while to let the bleach work.

Sounds like the tub needs resurfacing.

Sounds like it needs a resurface.

I agree with resurfacing. Not expensive to have it done professionally and looks like new!

Resurfacing. My husband did it once to an ancient legged bath tub too big and too heavy to remove. He did a good job, but I agree with folks who say get a pro. We were young, "starving" grad students when he did it.

Awesome from Dollar Tree works great full strength. I use it for everything. I have also painted an old claw foot tub.

I use Lysol toilet bowl cleaner the blue stuff that sticks to the surface of a toilet. Put it on cover the entire surface and then use a rough

cloth tho wipe it off, Works perfectly.

Lysol works well, even on a new Kohler bathtub - they are impossible to clean. DON"T use bleach. If any of the stains are rust the bleach will set them.

Hi Jean. My name is Cindy. My Dad purchased a house a few years ago. The bath tub was in poor condition. I tried every product known to man to get it clean. I did get it semi-clean but not what he wanted. You're not going to believe this, but he took it to a car painting business. They blasted it clean and painted it. The end result was gorgeous. I couldn't believe it was the same tub. I wish I had taken pictures of before and after. Good luck from Cindy.
