What is the fabric made of????
I bought a used leather soda and loveseat that reeked of smoke. I cut up pantyhose and tied the ends to make small bags out of them, filled them with ground coffee and put them inside all of the cushions. The smell was considerably better in a few days and completely gone in a couple of weeks.
1 part vinegar and 1part water
i quit smoking and realized how awful my house smelled. I used a steamer on upholstered pieces then followed up with Febreeze. Tucking fabric softener sheets under the cushions also helped.

Try baking soda. I used this on carpets in my apartment and it really helped.
Try spritz ing with a 50/50 mix of white vinegar and water. If the smell still persists, try a stronger combination.
