How do I clean an outdoor wood drop leaf table?

My outdoor wood drop leaf table top has darkened as a result of weather. The dropped sides and legs remain the same lovely red cedar. How do I clean top so it can be stained the original color. Thanks

you will have to sand it down,restain and seal with a non-yellowing marine grade varnish
I would scrub it clean with a brush and a cleaner like Awesome Orange from the Dollar Tree, then let dry and sand smooth, then re-stain and I would oil the top myself if outside, but you could also do Spar Varnish.
