
How do I clean algae out of my birdbath? Is there something I can buy?



I am trying to find out how to clean a birdbath, mine has algae in it. Is there a product I can buy?

Scrub out your bird bath with vinegar. Rinse well. Change your water daily.: )Helpful Reply -

Scrub with salt...rinse and if possible move to the shade...if it is a concrete basin, a good scrubbing with clorox...1/2 cup to a gallon if water...and rinse well and allow to dry.....chlorine is a gas and won't be toxic to the birdsHelpful Reply -

It's okay to use household bleach when you clean it, any residue isn't harmful. Bird keepers at the zoo use bleach on exhibit pools.Helpful Reply -
