The first thing you need to do is spray your yard. We use equal parts lemon flavored dishwashing liquid and lemon flavored ammonia. Put in sprayer attached to hose and spray until no more bubbles; refill and continue. Spray bushes, on roof to allow water down gutters; repeat every 3 weeks for 3 sprays and then about every month. We could not walk to the mailbox without getting 20 bites. Now we have no more mosquitos! You can also plug in a box fan and have it blow on you while you work...they cannot fly in the wind. This is also a good thing to put out when having guests over and you want to sit outside.

Put a dryer sheet in your pocket. My sister who owns an orchard tells me that works.

Vanilla extract mixed with water in a spray bottle works. I used to wear a vanilla perfume and never had a problem with mosquitoes and one day I read of using vanilla as a repellent. It worked for me :)
