How about adding ornaments to a cornucopia? (Dollar Tree has a few felt cornucopias). You can also have "Santa Turkey". Add some fall leaves to Christmas lights or pine boughs.
Jan: Here are some ideas that would work for both events. HAVE FUN!

Use standard Christmas basics like pine tree, wreaths, but use a combination of bronze, burnt orange, and dark scarlet red. Use bronze balls and artificial frosted fall foliage on trees and wreaths. Don’t forget to add the turkeys, painted or foil wrapped to your color selection. Because Christmas colors are no longer restricted to red and green, bronze, copper, and tons of non traditional colors can be easily found. Once the party is over you can mix in your traditional ornaments and decorations for an eclectic look.
Your party sounds like a fun idea. Have a Merry Thanksmas!
