Becky on Feb 01, 2014I was just telling my mom about the snowman and she reminded me of the tweetie we did years ago. I will have to call and tell her of the grinch. We glued the tweetie bird to a small craft board and painted it black.Helpful Reply

Nancy Spencer Carlson on Feb 03, 2014A strange idea, born of a big mess, and my husbands silly comments: what if you use a small water balloon, fill it partially with spray foam, sit the light bulb on it after it expands a bit. When the foam is dry, take off the balloon and paint the foam. You could also carve the foam after you take the balloon off. (The big mess was a dropped can of spray foam that squirted all over the place. I don't remember what my husband said, but the idea I came up with at the time was to make pumpkins in the same manner as described, and form them while still soft in the balloon.)Helpful Reply

Glenna Kennedy on Feb 03, 2014Lol Nancy. The spray foam isnt a bad idea tho....wondering if I could find a small mold thats flat and spray the foam in making sure its level and then let it harden. The problem Im having is getting something level to set the curved bulb on so it will stand up.Helpful Reply

Mary Cordill on Mar 19, 2015When I worked for a craft maker we used 2 and 3 inch wood hearts. They were put on the bottom of bells, eggs made into birds. Whatever we needed feet for that was our first go to.Helpful Reply
