I made soap this year. You can purchase the shea butter blocks at Hobby Lobby. I added lavender oil and oatmeal, wrapped each piece in wrapping paper and tied the bars in a wash cloth with pretty ribbon.

Although this is not my creation, I have made a few very similar to the photo. Another great gift idea is to make a 'Sugar Scrub for Hands' they are very easy to mix up and package. I have made a 'Lemon' and a 'Peppermint' as well as a 'Lavender Foot Scrub' by combining 'Coconut Oil', 'Raw Cane Sugar ', a few drops of Vitamin E and Essential Oils. I used a box of 12 Half Pint Mason Jars & attached a simple twine ribbon with a small wooden spoon/craft stick, the type that we used to eat our' Screwball Ice-cream ' with. The total cost for all of the supplies mentioned above was $21.30 which makes 12 jars with enough scrub to fill another dozen. The base of the scrubs is the same, by adding different types of oils you can create any scent or color. The Lemon is excellent for anyone that does a lot of cooking with onions, garlic or fish as it will remove the dead. skin cells that hold the smell while the coconut oil and vitamin e leave your hands moisturized and very soft.
