How do I get the sharp edge of a cut bottle smooth like the stores?

You can either flame melt the edges smooth, or use sandpaper or a file.
Try taking a small amount of water in a shallow bowl, cut a square shape a bit larger then your bottle bottom , using black sandpaper. With cut side down on the paper in the water...keep twisting the bottle. Should get smooth...twist, then check it..twist more if needed.
File it with a fine file.
