What kind of modge podge do you use to transfer a picture on a plaque?

Is it Modge Podge that I would use to adhere newspaper to wood?

Can I add a few drops of something to get a little color in it?
Can I modge photos directly onto a surface or do I need to copy first?

Hello.
Be aware there are several sheen finishes to modgepodge and select the one that suits your aesthetic.

I've not read the previous answers, but I would photocopy the picture and Modpodge it onto the wood rather than risk the picture which is usually on thicker paper.
Use a laser printer to print a copy of the picture. Then paint Modge Podge onto the wood and while wet, put the picture face down onto the Modge Podge and let the whole thing dry. Then take a wet sponge and rub the paper. The goal is to rub the paper off and it leaves the image behind. It works perfectly.
Google it. There are videos to show you exactly how to do it.
