How do I modge podge a picture onto wood?

I've not read the previous answers, but I would photocopy the picture and Modpodge it onto the wood rather than risk the picture which is usually on thicker paper.

Use a laser printer to print a copy of the picture. Then paint Modge Podge onto the wood and while wet, put the picture face down onto the Modge Podge and let the whole thing dry. Then take a wet sponge and rub the paper. The goal is to rub the paper off and it leaves the image behind. It works perfectly.
