Looking for ideas for decorating my flat- any suggestions?

Hi
In two weeks and four days, I will be living as a single person. I will need help with decorating my flat. I have four rooms and a hall to do. Any advice will be helpful. Is one statement wallpapered wall and three painted still an vogue? Are pale colours 'in' this year?

Hi Ursula. My suggestion would be to watch some videos on home renovations or some of the home improvement TV shows and go from there. There are so many different styles of decorating....and there are SO many great ideas! Do you have a particular style you like - modern, etc.? The hot color for most walls now is a grey color. It has been suggested to me to use a Shetwin-Williams color called Revere Grey. It is a wonderful back drop for bright pillows, drapes and throw rugs.
Look at home decorating magazines for ideas.
An accent wall is definitely a great look. How about a faux brick wall? I love that look. For the hallway I think a gallery wall would look nice and inviting.
